It was a busy day for the Atlanta Hawks front office. The Hawks agreed to trade guard Joe Johnson to the Brooklyn Nets and in a separate deal agreed to trade forward Marvin Williams to the Utah Jazz. The deal with Brooklyn will get Johnson’s contract, the largest in the NBA, off the books for the Hawks. Atlanta picks up a handful of expiring contracts and a lottery-protect first-round draft pick in exchange for the All-Star. In exchange for Williams, the Hawks will receive point guard Devin Harris from the Jazz. The trades cannot officially go through until July 11 because of NBA rules.
